40 pounds lost
So my husband, friends and I decided to do dry February last month, and it was great (dry meaning no alcohol)! I ended up losing 11 pounds in the month! I did a couple other changes (10k steps a day, increased my water, honest tracking) but I think cutting out alcohol was a big win for me.
I was finding that it was becoming a habit to have alcohol throughout the week. For instance at games night on Wednesdays it was common to drink, then we would have some if a hockey game was on, then we would drink at bowling night on Mondays, then oh well it’s Saturday night we might as well have a couple drinks…so many times during the week we are cracking a drink…when does it stop? I found it was controlling my progress on Weight Watchers…whenever I would have a couple drinks my weight would either stay the same or go up.
Alcohol was probably one of the main reasons I plateau’d for three months in the fall. Plus overeating zero point foods and not getting enough activity.
NO MORE!! I have a goal in mind and I want to get there! I want another Pandora charm haha. I don’t need alcohol to have fun so why drink it? I can think of so many other things I want to spend my points on.
So dry March here I come!
Okay now let’s talk about this recipe I made in the video. This dish was an absolute HIT in our home. John (my husband) rated it 10.5/10 and absolutely loved it! It also kept amazingly in the fridge and would work so well for meal prep. I’m adding it to my Sunday meal rotation so that we can have leftovers for lunches! Also it is all made in one pan, so super easy clean up! Loved it!
The cookbook I use in this video is absolutely unreal. So many easy recipes that anyone can follow!

Until next time.
