Getting organized feels good

40.2 pounds gone

I can’t believe I hit my 40 pound milestone!!! I am so excited!!!! I’m a little bummed they don’t give out charms for every 10 pounds on Weight Watchers but that’s okay. I got my own charm at Pandora! I decided I’m going to get one every 10 pounds lost. Something to work towards!

My next goal will be 50 pounds gone, then soon after will be Onederland!

So this video I released today is a beautiful Shepard’s Pie recipe. It is very simple but so elegantly delicious! After making this recipe I craved it again so quickly, so I cooked it the following week, and this time for company! It was that good.

Check it out below:

In other news, I am starting my organization journey with my recipes, meal planning and cooking schedule. Since I cook 5-6 days a week, multiple times a day (hardly any grab and go meals in our home) I decided it was time to get organized. Especially now that I am filming food related content, I need to find a system that works. So in comes my new meal planner and grocery list organization system. I found it on Amazon and fell in love!

This is an example of one week of meal plans plus a full grocery list! I am still adding the points for everything, but this is complete otherwise. This shopping list is everything we need for this meal plan. When it was time to go to the grocery store, I just made an up to date list on a separate piece of paper based on what I need to get and what I already have at home. For instance, we already had chicken breasts in our freezer so I didn’t have to add that on.

I showed one of my best friends this meal plan and she was so excited for me. I plan on making several weeks worth of meal plans with grocery lists and then I can just start rotating. I also plan on leaving one place open during the week (I think on Tuesdays) for a new recipe. I love trying new recipes so I have to designate space for that.

My goal is to create my own meal plan type document on Canva and tailor it exactly to my specifications…but this will work for now. One step at a time!

I also wrote down all the meals I could think of that I cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have them in one place so that making the actual meal plan is easy…it’s just going through each recipe and adding the ingredients to the shopping list that is very tedious. But that’s okay! You put in the work once, and it’ll be set up for the future!

I will post an update about my meal plan once it is complete! I am excited to work on it, it’s a fun little hobby project of mine. Gives me something to do while I am off work.

Until next time.
