-41.4 pounds gone (-6.2 since starting Ozempic)
I was going to do a new starting weight with my blog, but I don’t want to disregard all my efforts with Weight Watchers. I have still lost close to 40 pounds with the program so I think it’s important to share that. I will write on the side how much I’ve lost since starting Ozempic as well so that it is clear.
So much has changed since starting the medication. I look at food differently. I don’t have as big of an appetite. I don’t have constant cravings throughout the day. I’m not searching through the pantry when I’m not hungry anymore. I eat until I’m satisfied and then I stop eating; it’s the weirdest thing. I’ve never felt that before in my life. It’s absolutely incredible! And I’m only on the loading dose! All I know is that this medication has already done so much for me and I just started it. I’m very happy with my progress so far.
I’m going to talk to my doctor, but I doubt I’ll increase my dose if the lower dose is working. It doesn’t make sense to me to increase it just yet. If I plateau or it stops working, then we can talk about increasing the dose.
I told my aesthetician about starting Ozempic and she was so happy for me. As someone who has been treating my facial hair for the last year and has seen my struggles with hormonal growth from PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), she was so excited to see if it helps. I’ve heard so many success stories about people on Ozempic that improve their PCOS symptoms, so I’m hoping it will work for me!
In other news, I went to the pool 6x last week!!! I love it so much! I’ve made some friends at the pool and I feel so excited about going there everyday. It’s the first type of exercise (since I was in sports in high school) that I am extremely excited about.
It was crazy, I wore my smart watch in the pool for the first time this week and I was absolutely shocked at how many calories you burn swimming. It was incredible! Just from doing leisurely laps, I burned 600 calories in an hour! Like what?! That’s insane. That’s comparable to running or hiking! It’s just completely changed the game. And I’m still walking for an hour a day too, so my smart watch is very, very happy with me. I am getting so many activity points for WW as well.
The best part is, I feel amazing (other than my shoulder). I leave the pool with the same type of endorphin high as if I did an hour of strength training. And since I can’t do so many exercises in the gym because they aggravate my shoulder, I think swimming is the best option right now. And swimming is what my surgeon recommended so I’m going to follow his advice.
I want to keep sharing recipes! They won’t all be my personal recipes, but I’ll share links and write out fun ones that I think you would like.
This recipe is near and dear to my heart. This taco meat is out of this world! I made burritos this week with the meat sauce and it was a highlight of the week! I absolutely love Two Peas and Their Pod, they have great recipes.

This is my family (minus Jiny!). John (my husband) and Ben (my stepson). Love them both. I just wanted to share with you!
Until next time.

My endocrinologist is suggesting I start Wegovy or Zepbound for my PCOS in a few months, so I am excited to read about your journey on Ozempic for your PCOS! Seems really positive so far 🙂
I was just coming on here to write a post and came across your comment! So kind of you to stop by! I am loving Ozempic so far. Life changing drug. Very positive!
